While one-off trainings and hardware review visits can and do result in meaningful changes, the reality is most program work happens on normal days. It’s the daily rhythms set by leaders, and the decisions they make, that determine how effective their teams will be.

I offer one-on-one coaching services to technical and engineering leaders in low-income countries, typically for a defined period of 6-12 months. These generally include a weekly call in which we discuss the leader’s goals and the obstacles they face, then work together to develop strategies and identify tools or methods to increase effectiveness. During the initial calls, I focus on identifying areas for growth, then I work to equip leaders based on their specific needs and goals. The power of coaching calls is the continuity over a longer period, as trust is developed and long-term challenges are addressed step-by-step in a logical progression.
